  • one another

Something very interesting go through the new testament and read all the verses that talk about "one another"
Bear one anothers burdens.... speak the truth.... receive one another as Christ received us..... wash one anothers feet... these are just a few.
One of things God is asking us to do is open our eyes to people around us. We are not God's only child! We belong to a large and growing family, which spreads across the whole world. Sometimes it takes a little persuasion to take off our blinders and come out of our prayer closets to see the needs of those around us. Jesus is in heaven now, so He cannot walk among us to touch those who are hurting or in need of encouragement. Instead He asks us to be His hands and His feet. We are His means of reaching out. God works through us to lift the spirits of those around us.
    this was from devotional book.

Life has been good. We have really enjoyed havin my Janette back!!!!!!! School is back in full swing. We only have 2 in school this year, which is very different for us. change.... change.....
We are praying about what God would have us do about a house, our house needs a major makeover, or do we move???? we have out grown this place, 1 bath for 7 adults, but we also have many good times in this little place.
We are still enjoying little bubba, and he keeps me busy !

    Blessings to you all....

  • Congratulations Bonita!!!!
Sun was my Bonita's high school grad. It was a lovely day! It's really hard to believe our baby girl has graduated. She is a wonderful daughter and we are blessed! We really really missed my Janette, 32 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT Janette was able to be part of it all via webcast. Thanks to Rob.

We enjoyed having friends here from VA., and Ohio. It was also special to have family come for grad. Something happened on Sun. when we had company that never happened before in all the 27 years we were married. My Sun. dinner wasn't ready when we came home. I had put a casserole in the oven at 300 before we left for church and when we came the potatoes and carrots were not ready. An hour later it was ready enough to eat. and all turned out o.k. it was just that we needed to eat and be back at the church by 2:00, grad was at 3:00 thankfully my company was very understanding!!

This looks another interesting summer, my Quin just started a job at Chick Fila, so he will need transportation, babysitting, ballgames, fun, and the girls comin and going......... so i'll hang on and enjoy, to soon it will all be over.

God may be silent but He is never absent!

  • some memories are sad....

Today 27 years ago we had a funeral for my Dad. we didn't really say good -by because we weren't ready, we were so confused, hurt, and angry.
I thank God that because of the cross we can forgive those that hurt us, we can pick up and go on, even when things were never the same. It's has been a long hard journey,
I thank God for healing my broken heart, and I thank Him for all the good memories.

Dad I forgive you and I really really miss you!! you would only be 77 years old.

  • today is little Bubba's birthday. He was 6 weeks old when we first started to care for him. We fell in love w/ him and he has become like one of us. When he was 5 months old him and his mom moved away, so for about 8 weeks we didn't see him. It was hard and I thought he was out of our lives. All of a sudden he was back full time again. He was with us for 8 months and once again he was moved to another daycare, closer to his mommy's work. Seven months later he was back full time again. During those months he was with us about every other weekend. It has been a lot more then a job. We have taught him to pray and sing. now he sings to his family and asks them to pray before eating. We have taught him bible verses and told him the way to heaven. Sometimes I wonder why I am chasing a 2 year old and dealing w/ yet someone else's schedule. But we have been rewarded in so many ways and it has been an honor to show's God's love to him, his family and friends. Little Bubba is advanced when it comes to talking and singing. He has been saying sentences since he was 18 months old. He loves to sing and right now his favorite word ... why.... I told him to stop saying why and his reply .... why.... I brought him and plastic dump truck , he looked at it and said "Where do I turn it on?" oh my what an electronic generation. lol

Little Bubba we thank God for you!! May you have a passion for God and may you always know how much God loves you!!

  • my Quin has recovered well from his surgery. His eye is still recovering and is lookin good. This week he is to put vitamin E oil on the eyelid and massage it. Dr. said it will be 4 weeks before the eyelid will look like it's supposed to.

my man had hernia surgery 2 weeks ago. He went back to work this Wed. (on light duty) he does have someone to load his truck for him. They didn't have another truckdriver while he was gone so there is plenty to do.

my Emily went to Grenada for 1 week. Had a wonderful time w/ her sis and came home w/ a beautiful tan. She loved the weather over there.

Little bubba is back every day. so I am adjusting to having a 20 month old around. He is very sweet, but I miss my freedom, going and coming as I please.

When I was growing up I wondered how it would be not to be in a christian home. Now I thank God for what he has kept me from and for what I was taught. We have been given so much!! There is so much heart ache in making wrong choices. I thank my LORD and savior for the choice he made, to die for us.

yesterday at Byler's store the song "Have thine own way" was playing. That was so what I needed to hear! I want God to have His way in my life, in the life of my family.

tonight we are havin people over for a hymn sing. something I wanted to do for sometime now was to sit around tables and sing, like we did when we were youth.
